Men's Lacrosse Puts 17 on Academic Honor Roll

EASTON, Pa. -- The Lafayette men's lacrosse team landed 17 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Thursday. Freshman Scott McAvoy and recent graduate Cory Scheuerle led the team with 3.85 and 3.80 GPAs, respectively.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.

The freshman class put a team-high nine players on the list, Matt Close, George Cloud, Owen Green, Scott McAvoyWill McCarthy, Sean McLaughlin, Alex Mezey, James Roberts and Luke Smith. Adam Broeckaert led four juniors with a 3.70 GPA, while Ben Falcone, Brody Smith and Morgan Westby rounded out the class. Dillon Confalone and Billy Maltz represented the sophomores.
