EASTON, Pa. - After leading the Lafayette men's lacrosse team with five points in two games, freshman attack Brian Bock has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week. The award is the first career honor for Bock and the second weekly laurel for the Leopards this season.

Bock scored one goal and scooped up a pair of groundballs in Lafayette's 11-10 overtime loss at Marist on Tuesday evening. He followed that showing with two goals, two assists and two groundballs as the Leopards doubled-up Holy Cross, 8-4, on Saturday afternoon in Worcester for their first Patriot League victory of the season.

For the season, Bock leads the Leopards with 15 assists and 27 total points. He shares second place on the club with 12 goals, tied with Greg Allis and Doug Prusoff and one tally behind Colin Serling's 13. Bock has recorded a point in all 11 games this season and has scored a goal in four of Lafayette's last five contests.

Bock joins sophomore goalkeeper Jake Hyatt as the Leopards' two weekly award winners this season. The Lafayette stopper turned away 10 shots in the season-opening win over Providence on Feb. 18 en route to Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week laurels.

The Leopards return to action on Saturday, April 14 at Colgate. The regular season concludes at Fisher Stadium on Saturday, April 21 with a visit from rival Lehigh.
