HAMILTON, N.Y. - Colgate sprinted out to a 7-0 lead and led 11-2 at halftime en route to an 18-7 victory over Lafayette at Andy Kerr Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Peter Baum led the No. 16 ranked Raiders with five goals in the win.

Freshman Cory Scheuerle had three goals for Lafayette (3-9, 1-4) on the offensive end and classmate Brian Bock added two scores. Jake Mann scored once, assisted by John Floyd, and Greg Allis was credited with two assists in the loss. In goal, Jake Hyatt and Andrijko Andrusko combined to make 11 saves.

Bock and senior Doug Prusoff registered the first-half goals for Lafayette, while Baum found the back of the net four times and Matt Baker contributed two. Jared Madison earned the win in the Colgate (10-2, 4-1) cage, turning away six Lafayette shots.

The Raiders controlled the game statistically, as well, winning 18 of the game's 29 faceoffs. Colgate also collected 45 ground balls, compared to 29 for Lafayette.
