Penn Pushes Past Men's Lacrosse

The Lafayette men's lacrosse team used a second half rally, scoring four straight goals to tie the game at six in the fourth quarter, but Penn tallied three goals in the final 7:33 to push past the Leopards, 9-6 on a snowy Tuesday afternoon.

Lafayette host Penn in the Leopards 2015 home opener on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Fisher Stadium. The Maroon and White hold a 1-2 record so far this season, while the Quakers enter Tuesday's game with a 2-2 mark.

Jason Sands tallied a pair of goals, but No. 9 Army pulled away in the second half in a 14-3 setback for the Leopards. Matt Cortese made 13 saves for Lafayette in the loss.

Men's Lacrosse Continues League Play at Army

The Leopards make the trip to West Point, N.Y. on Saturday to take on No. 9 Army in a Patriot League contest. Lafayette enters the weekend with a 1-1 record, while the Black Knights hold a 3-1 mark this season.
