Basking Ridge, N.J. - The Knights Golf Invitational, hosted by the Fairleigh Dickinson University men's and women's golf teams, has been cut short this week due to rain. The first round will stand as the final rankings for the invitational.
Robert Morris took the top honor, firing a 312. Rider captured second (320), FDU third (321) and Lafayette placed fourth with a 322. Monmouth and Fordham tied for fifth (325). St. Peter's placed seventh place (335), Manhattan finished eighth (338), followed by Wagner (339), St. Francis N.Y. (351) and Hofstra (355).
Lafayette sophomore Carter Rufe finished the day tied for second with a 76, one away from leader Greg Etimos from Monmouth.
This marks the final event for the fall season for the Leopards. They begin their spring season on February 28 2010.
