EASTON, Pa. - Seven members of the Lafayette golf team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must earn a 3.2 semester GPA while competing in a Patriot League sport with a winter or spring championship.

With seven honorees, Jim Hutnik's squad ties Bucknell of the second-highest number of selections. Navy led the league with eight Academic Honor Roll members.

Rising sophomore Robert Dyer, an Economics major, was one of two Patriot League golfers to tally a 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester.

Two members of the Class of 2012 were honored: First Team All-Patriot League pick Carter Rufe '12 (Spanish/Economics & Business, 3.35 GPA) and Frank Dalicandro '12 (Economics & Business, 3.25).

The rising seniors were represented by two student-athletes carrying double majors. David Kafafian recorded a 3.93 GPA as an Economics & Business and Government & Law double major, and Josh Feinberg, who is studying Government & Law and Anthropology & Sociology, tallied a 3.85 GPA this spring.

Joining Dyer among rising sophomores are Doug Fernandez (Government & Law, 3.35 GPA) and Kirk Massie (Undeclared, 3.25).
