Lafayette Invitational set for this Weekend

Easton, Pa. - The Lafayette golf team will host 17 teams at the 11th annual Lafayette Invitational on Sunday and Monday at Northampton Country Club in Easton.
The tournament gets underway Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. The second and final round starts Monday, April 8 with tee times beginning at 9 a.m.
The 18-team field includes Patriot League rivals Army, Bucknell and Lehigh. Other conferences represented include the Atlantic 10 Conference, Northeast Conference, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Colonial Athletic Association.
The Leopards are coming off a 13th-place finish at the Florida Atlantic University Spring Break Championship in Lake Worth, Fla. Highlights included at 13th-place individual finish by sophomore Mike Zausmer and a hole-in-one on the final hole of the tournament by freshman Travis Ricca.
Northampton Country Club is a par-72, 6,548-yard layout that was established in 1899. The course was designed by golf course architect Robert White, a contemporary of Donald Ross, A. W. Tillinghast and Dr. Alister Mackenzie.
