LEWISBURG, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Junior Mike Aarts (Pound Ridge, N.Y./Fox Lane) shot a 72 on Saturday to recover from a subpar first round and place 13th in the field of 41 at the Bucknell Invitational on Oct. 29 and 30. Aarts' score of 153 put him in a deadlock with five other golfers. Bucknell's Kyle Moran beat teammate Alex Dolle in a playoff to win with a score of 146. The event was held at the Bucknell University Golf Course. Senior Garrett Copp (Poland, Maine/Poland Regional) and sophomore Kyle Manjuck (Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional) finished 29th as both posted a score of 161. Junior Tom Palmer (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) and senior Tom Hennessy (Sparta, N.J./Pope John) were three shots back at 164. Sophomore Billy Simmermacher (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) rounded out Lafayette's entries with a 166. The Leopards placed sixth as a team out of seven schools. Lafayette was 12 shots behind the field after day one but rebounded with the fourth-best day two score for a solid finish.
