Shah Leads Men's Golf At Mt. St. Mary's Fall Classic

LITTLESTOWN, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's golf team completed its fall season with a seventh-place finish at the Mount St. Mary's Fall Classic at the Quail Valley Golf Course.

The Leopards posted rounds of 321 and 340 for an overall score of 661. St. Francis (Pa.) walked away with the title, turning in a 608 (303-305).

For the second time this season, rookie Anoop Shah led the Leopards with a 156 (79-77), which tied him for seventh overall. Following Shah was sophomore Brandon Mitchel, shooting rounds of 79 and 87 for an overall score of 166.

Also earning points for Lafayette were senior Tom Palmer with a 172 (80-92) and juniors Kyle Manjuck with a 173 (83-90) and Billy Simmermacher with a 174 (88-86).

The invitational brings the golf team's fall season to a close. The team will resume play next spring.
