Curcio leads Men's Golf in Big 5 Invitational

FLOURTOWN, Pa. - The Lafayette men's golf team finished 12th out of 15 teams in the Big 5 Invitational on Oct. 11-12. The Leopards shot a combined score of 620 at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Flourtown, Pa. Freshman Michael Curcio led the team with a 6-over-par 148. He was the only Leopard to crack the top-20, finishing tied for 12th. Curcio ended the tournament with 22 pars and was one of only six golfers to sink an eagle. Sophomore Tyler Ostrovsky just missed breaking into the top-20 by one stroke with an 8-over-par 150. Freshman Chip Culp (160), sophomore Clay Solomon (162), and sophomore Cody Sumpter (165) round out the Leopards five golfers. The Leopards will travel to Center Valley, Pa., on Saturday to compete in the Muhlenberg Fall Invitational.
