Leopards Sit in 12th After Two Rounds of Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Lafayette's golf team sits in 12th place through two rounds of Rutgers Invitational, paced by freshman Chad Bell who is tied for 35th after shooting 75 and 76 in Friday's first two rounds. The third and final round at the par-71, 6,337-yard Rutgers University Golf Course starts Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

St. Peter's and Monmouth are tied for the lead following Friday's action at 576, 42 strokes ahead of the Leopards. Lafayette is just eight strokes out of the top 10 and can make up some ground in the final round.

Lafayette's other counting scores include sophomores Phil Rosengarden (80-77--157) and Doug Fernandez (78-79--157) and senior Dave Kafafian(76-83--159).

The Leopards are the only Patriot League program in the field that features 15 teams mostly from the NYC and metro NJ areas.
