Lafayette Places Third at Patriot League Championships

The Lafayette golf team closed out its 2011 season placing third at the Patriot League Championships held at the Naval Academy Golf Course this weekend. Senior Tyler Ostrovsky was selected to the Patriot League Second Team.
Ostrovsky joins a group of eight players in the League's 21-year history to be a four-time All-League selection.
Coming into the final day, the Leopards sat in third place. After shooting 284 on the final 18-holes, Lafayette combined for 879 for the weekend. Host Navy placed second finishing with a score of 874 while Army claimed its 10th Patriot League Championship. The Black Knights were led by Matt Krembel, who was named Patriot League Player of the Year.
Junior Carter Rufe led the way for the Maroon and White with a tie for second place. Rufe finished two-over par for the weekend carding a 215 (74-72-69). The junior was named to the First-Team Patriot League Team.
Ostrovsky finished tied for sixth overall scoring a 217 for the weekend. Junior Rob Robertson tied for eighth with a final score of 219 and was named to the Second-Team. Dave Kafafian (236) and Erik Adolfsson (237) finished in a tie for 31st and 33rd, respectively.
