Lafayette finished fifth at the 2013 Patriot League Championships and the future looks bright for the Leopards as three freshmen and a sophomore finished in the top 30. Freshman Chad Bell earned a tie for 14th after rounds of 77, 80 and 76 on the 6,835-yard, par-72 Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
Lafayette's team score of 948 placed the Leopards two strokes ahead of sixth-place Holy Cross and 17 ahead of seventh-place Colgate. Lehigh (898) won the team total by seven strokes over Navy (905), while Army (915) was third and Bucknell (929) fourth.
Navy's Chris House shot a one-over 73 in the final round to overtake Army's Marcus Plunkett for the individual title. Lehigh's Alex DiClemente finished third while Bucknell's Schuyler Stitzer and Lehigh's Harley Abrams tied for fourth place.
Rounding out the individual scores for Lafayette were senior captain David Kafafian (T18th, 76-77-64--237), sophomore Mike Zausmer (26th, 82-76-84--242), freshman Patrick Luther (29th, 83-76-85--244), freshman Travis Ricca (T30th, 79-84-82--245) and sophomore Phil Rosengarden (T35th, 83-81-83--247).
