Kafafian Leads Leopards at PL Championships

Lafayette senior captain David Kafafiansits in a tie for 11th place after the first two rounds of the 2013 Patriot League Championship, recording rounds of 76 and 77 to lead the Leopards to fifth place. The third and final round is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Sunday on the 6,835-yard, par-72 Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
The Leopards trail fourth-place Bucknell by just four strokes, sitting at 623 total strokes through two rounds played today. Host Lehigh (595) is in first place, just seven strokes ahead of Navy (602) and 14 strokes ahead of Army (609). Holy Cross (627) is in sixth place while Colgate (639) is in seventh.
Army's Marcus Plunkett sits atop the individual leaderboard at one-over through the opening two rounds and holds a one-stroke lead over Navy's Chris House. Lehigh's Alex DiClemente and Carlos Kim are tied for third at three-over while Bucknell's Schuyler Stitzer is alone in fifth place at five-over.
The remaining individual scores for Lafayette include Chad Bell (T17th, 77-80--157), Mike Zausmer (T22nd, 82-76--158), Patrick Luther (26th, 93-76--159), Travis Ricca (T32nd, 79-84--163) and Phil Rosengarden (T34th, 83-81--164).
