Leopards Fall to Lehigh in Rivalry Match

HELLERTOWN, Pa. - Lafayette's golf team recorded its best team score of the spring with a 306 but fell to rival Lehigh's team total of 298 in its final tuneup before this weekend's Patriot League Championship. Six Leopards recorded scores in the 70s in the rivalry match held on on the 6,655-yard, par-72 Championship Course at Silver Creek Country Club.
Robert Dyer and Garrett Sweeney led Lafayette, each carding a 75. Mike Zausmer and Chad Bell each fired a 78 while Patrick Luther and Phil Rosengarden each recorded a 79. Travis Ricca also competed in the rivalry match, shooting an 80.
Next up for the Leopards is the two-day, 54-hole Patriot League Championship, beginning Saturday at the West Point Golf Course.
