Zausmer Helps Leopards Climb to 13th

It was moving day during the second round of the Florida Atlantic University Spring Break Championship and Lafayette moved up to 13th place, led by sophomore Mike Zausmer who each carded an even-par 71 on the 6,876-yard, par-71 North Course at The Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth, Fla.
Final round action begins Sunday at 8 a.m. and the action can be followed live through Golfstat.
Central Florida leapfrogged Hartford into first place with a team score of two-under 282 and a two-day total of 571. Harftord is in second at 579 while host Florida Atlantic sits in third at 581, Bethune-Cookman moved up to fourth place at 583 and Florida Gulf Coast moved into the top five at 585.
Individually, Zausmer (144) moved up the leaderboard and is in a four-way tie for 12th place, eight shots back of day-two leader Greg Eason of Central Florida who sits at six-under with a two-shot lead.
Lafayette also has a "B" squad and two additional individuals competing in the Leopards' opening event for the spring season. Those seven scores include: Doug Fernandez (T38 - 150), Phil Rosengarden (T79 - 159), Robert Dyer (T85 - 162), Travis Ricca (T87 - 163), Ben DeForest (T93 - 169), Kirk Massie (T95 - 170) and Josh Feinberg (T95 - 170).
