Lafayette freshman Garrett Sweeney tied for 38th at the Stars & Stripes Invitational hosted by Army, leading the Leopards to a ninth-place finish. Sweeney shot three rounds in the 70s (78-77-75--230) in harsh weather conditions both days on the par-69, 6,101-yard Robert Trent Jones-designed West Point Golf Course.

Lafayette freshman Jared Mactas was named the Patriot League Male Golfer of the Month for September, the League office announced Thursday. The Woodcliff Lake, N.J. native won his first collegiate event at the Colgate Invitational.

Lafayette sophomore Patrick Luther tied for 34th at the Cornell Fall Invitational, leading Lafayette to a 13th-place finish. Luther shot three rounds in the 70s (77-77-79--233) to lead the Leopards on the par-71, 6,904-yard Robert Trent Jones Golf Course.

Lafayette freshman Jared Mactas tied for 13th at the Bucknell Fall Invitational, leading Lafayette to a seventh-place finish in the 13-team field. Mactas shot three rounds in the 70s (74-78-74--226) to lead the Leopards on the par-70, 6,232-yard Bucknell Golf Club.

Lafayette freshman Jared Mactas finished first at the Colgate Invitational, his first collegiate competition. Mactas finished the tournament at one-under par 215 (74-70-71) in the three-round event, winning by two strokes and leading Lafayette to a tie for sixth place in the 14-team field.
