Kafafian & Zausmer Honored at Team Banquet

The Lafayette golf program recently held its annual banquet and alumni golf outing. Sophomore Mike Zausmer was named the team's Most Valuable Player and senior captain David Kafafian earned the Fulton Award.

Bell First Alternate for U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying

Lafayette freshman Chad Bell earned the first alternate slot for U.S. Open sectional qualifying after holing out his second shot in a playoff at 6,522-yard, par-70 Morris County Golf Club in Morristown, N.J. As the first alternate from the local qualifying round, Bell may move on to sectional qualifying on June 3.

Lafayette senior golf team captain David Kafafian earned a spot on the 2013 Academic All-Patriot League Team.

Bright Future for Leopard Golfers

Lafayette finished fifth at the 2013 Patriot League Championships and the future looks bright for the Leopards as three freshmen and a sophomore finished in the top 30. Freshman Chad Bell earned a tie for 14th after rounds of 77, 80 and 76 on the 6,835-yard, par-72 Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.

Kafafian Leads Leopards at PL Championships

Lafayette senior captain David Kafafian sits in a tie for 11th place after the first two rounds of the 2013 Patriot League Championship, recording rounds of 76 and 77 to lead the Leopards to fifth place. The third and final round is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Sunday on the 6,835-yard, par-72 Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
