I. Academics

What do you enjoy about your major?

I am fascinated by the process of life; how it is created, how it is sustained, and how it functions. It is amazing to pause and appreciate the complexity of the human body, or of any organism really, and I enjoy getting to study such perfectly engineered machines.

One class/professor that every Lafayette student should try to take is…

I would recommend any course with Dr. Paul Cefalu. I’ve had him for a couple English classes, and he has an incredible ability to fuel class discussion. He’s also given me some great advice in structuring my writing.

What was your most unique academic experience (class/project/internship) at Lafayette?

I took an interim abroad trip to Kenya and Tanzania last year. I went expecting to witness a lot of cultural differences between America and the two countries, but I ended up being more humbled by their similarities. And, I saw all kinds of cool wildlife.

Do you have any post-graduation plans?

Ideally, I’d like to be a Corps Member for Teach for America.

II. Athletics

Give an assessment of your line so far this season?

Our line has consistently been able to get the job done, to provide holes for runs and solid pockets for pass protection. As we grow in ability and chemistry, we’re going to develop more swagger and confidence, and progress towards our goal of being the most dominant O-Line in America.

What is your favorite/least favorite part of football?

Winning is definitely my favorite part; it validates all of the intense effort we put into the success of the team. My least favorite part is making mistakes when blocking – I feel awful when I don’t successfully complete my 1/11th of a play, and I can’t get it out of my head until I know what I did wrong and how to do it right.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I’ve never been really superstitious, so I’ve never had any hard-set rituals. Just be fearless, loose, and excited to play.

III. Personal

What reality show would you have the best chance of winning?

Wipeout.

What song/band/album is most likely to be playing on your iPod?

Right now, it’d be Mumford and Sons.

What movie can you quote word-for-word

The Shawshank Redemption

Who is most famous person you have ever met?

Joe Biden
