Brockman Grabs First League Award

EASTON, Pa. - It was a week of firsts for freshman Chris Brockman (Richmond, Texas/Foster). The linebacker was named Patriot League Football Rookie of the Week following his performance versus Yale.
Brockman totaled a career-high eight tackles for the Leopards, and continued to pressure the Bulldogs with a sack and interception in the 20-10 win. It was the freshman's first career interception, and his tackle total exceeded his previous five games combined.
It is Brockman's first Rookie of the Week award.
Sophomore defensive back Shane Black (Stafford, Va./Mountain View) also garnered a League nod, receiving honorable mention status for his career-high 11 tackles and two interceptions.
Lafayette next faces Holy Cross 1 p.m. on Saturday at Fisher Stadium.
