CBS Sports Network to Televise Lafayette-Fordham Football
June 3, 2014
EASTON, Pa. - Defending Patriot League champion Lafayette will have its Oct. 3 football game at Fordham televised live by CBS Sports Network. The Friday kick off is set for 6:30 p.m. at Fordham's Coffey Field.
The 2013 installment on Nov. 16, 2013 saw the Leopards deal the fifth-ranked Rams their first loss (27-14) of the season after a 10-0 start. Lafayette went on to win the Patriot League title the next week, beating Lehigh 50-28, and the Rams earned an at-large berth to the FCS playoffs.
The quarterbacks will take center stage as Lafayette's Drew Reed completed 72.5 percent of his passes for 1,887 yards and 17 touchdowns as a freshman in 2013 while garnering the CFPA National Freshman Performer of the Year. Fordham QB Mike Nebrich was an All-American and set Patriot League single-season records for passing yardage (4,380), passing touchdowns (35) and total offense (4,893).
