Three Student-Athletes Included in NFF Hampshire Society

EASTON, Pa. - Seniors Brandon Ellis, Kyle Hayes and Nick Nardone have been selected to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. Nominees must be starters or key reserves who maintain a 3.2 or better GPA.
The 2012 NFF Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of 721 players from 232 schools in the society's sixth year.
Ellis was a two-time All-Patriot League First-Team selection at cornerback. The Economics and Business major has twice been named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team and Capital One Academic All-District II squads. Ellis was fourth on the team with 70 tackles and led Lafayette with 11 pass breakups.
Hayes was one of the Leopards' top receivers in his final season, reeling in 31 catches for 511 yards at an average of 16.5 yards per catch. The Economics and Business major posted a 3.78 GPA in the fall and maintains a 3.44 overall GPA.
Nardone earned the honor for the second straight year after a senior season in which he played in 11 games with one start. The Economics and Business major made 27 tackles while spending time at linebacker and at defensive back.
