Football Places 23 on League Academic Honor Roll

Jan. 31, 2014

EASTON, Pa - Twenty-three members of Lafayette's 2013 Patriot League Championship football team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Senior Mark Ross, the 2013 Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year and an Economics major, was one of just six student-athletes to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall semester. This is the third consecutive appearance on the academic honor roll for the Aliquippa, Pa. native.

Ross and classmate Brad Bormann also earned Capital One Academic All-America honors for the 2013 football season.

To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
