AT POOLESVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in football, wrestling, and track and field...an honorable mention All-State nose guard, he recorded 82 tackles and 13 sacks as a senior...a team captain, he also earned first-team All-Montgomery County honors...a heavyweight for the wrestling team, he competed in the shot put for the track team.
