Contact Coach Taylor: A former Lafayette football player, Chris Taylor enters his fifth season on the Leopards’ gridiron staff, and will coach the defensive line. Four years ago, he coached the tight ends and various special teams’ groups and was also responsible for the defensive scout team and coordination of all game films. During the summer of 2002, Taylor earned a coaching fellowship with the Arizona Cardnials and worked with the NFL team during the preseason. Taylor returned to Lafayette as an assistant coach after serving as an assistant at Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y., for the 1996 and 1997 seasons. While at Wagner, Taylor worked with the Seahawks’ offensive line, tight ends, linebackers, and special teams. He was responsible for the recruiting areas of Metropolitan New York, central New Jersey, and south Florida. He has served on the staffs at several highly-competitive summer camps, including Lafayette’s Youth Football Camp. A two-year starter on the Leopards’ offensive line, Taylor is a 1996 graduate of Lafayette with a bachelor of arts degree in American Studies. A member of the American Football Coaches Association and the Black Coaches Association, he earned a master’s degree in business administration from Wagner in August of 1998. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Taylor and his wife, Katie ’96, a former member of Lafayette’s track and field team, reside in Forks Township. |
