2011: Started all 11 games at defensive end while earning his second varsity letter...finished the season with 20 tackles including two for loss with a pair of quarterback hurries and a pass break-up...recorded four tackles against Penn (9/17) and Harvard (10/1).

2010: Played in seven games, earning his first varsity letter...recorded five tackles, all unassisted, with three of those for loss...was a standout in the annual Maroon-White spring game, despite suffering a thumb injury.

2009: Did not see any varsity game action...sat out 2010 spring season following February surgery to repair a ruptured achilles tendon.

AT ROMAN CATHOLIC: Four-year letterwinner in football...played 2008 season under Lafayette football great Joe McCourt '05...member of National Honor Society...named First Team All-Catholic and Second Team All-City at defensive end...started at defensive end and right tackle in junior and senior seasons...finished junior season with 27 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries...has been timed at 4.88 in the 40-yard dash and also boasts a 29-inch vertical leap.

PERSONAL: Son of Hasheem and Aliya Basil...got married in the summer of 2012...one of eight children...born 2/23/91.
