AT FAIR LAWN HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year member of the football and baseball teams and a one-year competitor for track and field...played guard and defensive tackle for football...as a sophomore he earned a place on the All-League second team and received All-County honorable mention status...awarded All-League first team and All-County second team as a junior...was recognized as the team's Most Valuable Player and earned a spot on the All-League first team and All-County second team as a senior...awarded All-League first team in track with a shot put distance of 46' 22''...a catcher and first baseman with a .256 batting average, earning a spot on the All-League second team in 2001.
