2010: Took over the starting role at quarterback, starting nine of 10 games played...completed 209-of-313 passes for 2,183 yards with 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions...his 66.8 completion percentage was the third-best single-season effort at Lafayette and he currently ranks first in career completion percentage (66.4)...finished campaign ranked 23rd in the nation in passing efficiency (136.7) and 35th in total offense (223.8) while the team was 19th in passing yardage...threw for a pair of 300-yard games, completing 33-of-41 for 304 yards and two touchdowns vs. Georgetown...connected for 35-of-42 for 335 yards and four touchdowns vs. Holy Cross which earned him Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors (11/15)...named to the inaugural Academic All-Patriot League Team as well as the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll with a 3.5 semester GPA.

2009: Second on the depth chart behind Rob Curley '10 and managed to see time in two games...stepped in for an injured Curley against Penn, helping lead the Leopards to an overtime victory with a 4-of-8 day...came in for the Leopards' final two offensive series in a 35-14 win against Bucknell, but did not attempt a pass...selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2008: Competed on the junior varsity team and worked his way to second on the depth chart with strong play in spring ball.

AT IONA PREP: Earned two letters in both football and basketball...team captain who threw for 2,300 yards and 20 touchdowns his senior year, both of which are single-season school records...All-Catholic High School Football League of Metropolitan New York selection...named third-team all-state by the CHSFL league...received the Golden Dozen Scholar-Athlete Award from the National Football Foundation...captain of the basketball team his senior year, where he played guard...four-year honor roll student...member of the Spanish and Latin National Honors Societies.

PERSONAL: Son of John and Geraldine O'Neil...older brother, John, played quarterback at Holy Cross...born 8/29/90.
