Evan Nardone is in his second season on the Lafayette football coaching staff.

Nardone, who handled football operations in 2012, will continue to assist the Lafayette secondary. That unit helped the Leopards intercept 22 passes in 2012, the second most in the nation.

Nardone returned to College Hill where he helped lead Lafayette to 28 victories and a Patriot League championship as a linebacker.

Nardone was a member of the Leopards' 2006 Patriot League Championship team and the 2007 team which ranked first in the nation in defense. He also won the 2008 Most Improved Player Award and the 2009 Unsung Hero Award as a contributor on defense and special teams.

Prior to his return to College Hill, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach and video operations coordinator at LaGrange College in LaGrange, Ga. He was responsible for coaching linebackers, conducting positional meetings and on-field drills and monitoring academic progress of student-athletes while assisting in recruiting efforts.

Nardone graduated from Lafayette in 2010 with degrees in Economics and Business and Government and Law. Nardone earned his Master of Arts in Teaching from LaGrange College.
