Contact Coach Lockhart: Bob Lockhart is in his sixth season and his second stint as a member of the Lafayette coaching staff, serving as an offensive assistant who works primarily with the tight ends. Under his guidance, the Leopards have earned All-Patriot League honors at tight end in three seasons. Lockhart coached Kevin Ganascioli '07, a converted running back, to All-Patriot League honors at tight end in 2006. Michael Conte '08 earned back-to-back second team nods from the league's coaches after he capped his senior season with 10 catches for 224 yards and three touchdowns while playing with a broken bone in his back in the final games of the year. Lockhart, a 2006 inductee into the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association Hall of Fame, spent the last 13 years as head coach at Warren Hills Regional and led the Blue Streaks to the New Jersey Group 3 State Championship in 2000. The veteran coach closed his tenure at Warren Hills with Skyland Conference Coach of the Year honors and left with the most wins in school history. He is a three-time recipient of the Newark Star-Ledger West Jersey Coach of the Year and was the Easton Express-Times and Warren County Coach of the Year in 2000, when Warren Hills was ranked seventh in the state by the Star-Ledger. Lockhart won three conference championships and led the program to five appearances in the state playoffs over his last six years. Lockhart served as a health and physical education teacher at Warren Hills for more than 25 years. He was an assistant football coach for eight years before becoming the head coach, and has also served as head girls basketball coach and an assistant baseball, basketball and track coach. Lockhart was also head football coach at Pen Argyl for two seasons. He is a 1981 graduate of Trenton State College (now TCNJ) where he was an all-conference quarterback in each of his last three seasons and team captain as a senior. He was named All-East by the ECAC at quarterback for his senior season. Lockhart and his wife, Donna, have two adult children, Rob and Stephanie. |
