In his first season on the Lafayette football coaching staff, David Jones will serve as an offensive assistant and help Bob Heffner with the Leopards’ offensive line. Jones arrives at Lafayette with experience as a student-athlete at both Muhlenberg College and Lehigh University and as a speed camp instructor for Ed Ruisz Speed Advantage Training. A 2001 graduate of Muhlenberg with a bachelor of science degree in Biology, Jones was a two-year All-American and three-year All-Centennial Conference defensive lineman for the Mules. A member of the student athletic advisory committee, he captained the 2000 Muhlenberg team that captured the ECAC Southwest Championship. A Bangor High School graduate, Jones was the 1997 Lehigh Valley Outstanding Scholar-Athlete in the sport of football.
