In his first year on the Leopards’ football coaching staff, Bryan Cook will serve as a defensive assistant for the 2000 season.

Cook arrives at Lafayette with experience as a player and a coach at Ithaca College. He served as the wide receivers coach during the 1999 season, as well as coordinating all video, computer, and scouting duties for the program. He coached two Ithaca receivers to the first and second spot on the program’s career reception list.

A four-year Dean’s List student at Ithaca, Cook graduated magna cum laude in 1998 with a bachelor of science degree in health and physical education.

Cook played both football and lacrosse for the Bombers, earning first-team All-Conference honors in lacrosse as a senior. A starting strong safety on the gridiron, Ithaca captured ECAC Championships in 1996 and 1998.

A native of Baldwinsville, N.Y., Cook is pursuing his master of science degree in exercise science at Ithaca.
