Seth Hinrichs is averaging 9.5 points per game this season

EASTON, Pa. - Seth Hinrichs has been named Patriot League Rookie of the Week after leading Lafayette with 16 points in its game at Vanderbilt last week. The recognition is the fourth of the season for the Lafayette guard.

Hinrichs' point total came on 6-of-8 shooting from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 from the free throw line. In addition to his offensive contributions, Hinrichs collected a career-high four steals and grabbed four rebounds in the Leopards' lone game of the reporting week. The Clara City, Minn. native leads all Patriot League freshmen with 9.5 points per game, and also ranks third in the League, shooting 48.6 percent from three-point range.

Hinrichs fourth Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor is the most for a Lafayette student-athlete since Brian Ehlers '00 won four in 1996-97.

Lafayette returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 28, against Monmouth. Tip-off from Kirby Sports Center is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live right here on
