EASTON, Pa. - Freshman guard Seth Hinrichs has won his third Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor after two double-digit scoring outputs this past week. His contributions led Lafayette to a win at Penn State, the first-ever for a Patriot League school over the Nittany Lions.

The Clara City, Minn. native, averaged 12.7 points and 4.0 rebounds over a three-game span including two career-high scoring performances. After netting seven against Long Island to start the week, Hinrichs put up 14 points, had five rips and made two steals at Penn State after earning the starting nod. He complimented that effort with 17 points at Sacred Heart and four boards, starting for the seventh time this season. Hinrichs shot 52 percent from the field, 47.1 percent from beyond the arc and sank four of his five free throw attempts.

Hinrichs’ third Rookie of the Week selection is the most for a Lafayette player since Bilal Abdullah ’08 accomplished the feat in the 2004-05 campaign.
