John Feinstein Scheduled To Make At Least Two Appearances At Lafayette
Oct. 25, 2000 EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Bestselling author John Feinstein, whose latest book on Patriot League basketball entitled The Last Amateurs: Playing for Glory and Honor in Division I College Basketball is available in bookstores now, has been scheduled for book signings at Lafayette College on Nov. 17 and Dec. 6. Feinstein's appearance at Lafayette on Nov. 17 will be from 6-7 p.m. in Marquis Hall as a part of the Lafayette Maroon Club's Hall of Fame Dinner. On Dec. 6, Lafayette hosts Princeton in a non-conference men's and women's basketball doubleheader. Feinstein will be available from 7-8 p.m. and at halftime of the men's contest. The Lafayette men's basketball team, which captured its second straight Patriot League Championship and accompanying NCAA Tournament bid, takes center stage in The Last Amateurs. The book chronicles the 1999-2000 season through the eyes of the student-athletes.
Feinstein is a commentator on ESPN's "The Sports Reporters" and columnist for both the Washington Post and Golf Magazine. He is the author of a number of bestelling sports books, including A Season on the Brink, The Majors, and A Good Walk Spoiled.
