KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two recently graduated men’s basketball student-athletes, Ryan Willen ’12 and Rob Delaney ’12, were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court, the organization announced on Tuesday.

To be eligible for the NABC Honors Court, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the end of the 2011-12 season and be a junior or senior academically.

Willen adds his NABC achievement to an impressive list of accolades. The 2011-12 Patriot League Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year finished his career with 1,453 points, sixth on the all-time scoring list in Lafayette history. A Neuroscience major, Willen graduated with a 3.47 grade-point average and was also named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team in his final two seasons on College Hill.

Delaney, a Government & Law major, completed his Lafayette career with a 3.49 overall GPA and was selected to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team. The point guard averaged 17.5 points in two postseason games, including shooting 7-of-9 from beyond the arc. The Westfield, N.J. native also claimed a spot on the Patriot League Academic All-League team.
