EASTON, Pa. – Four Lafayette men’s basketball players were honored with places on the 2013 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the League office announced Monday.

Eligible student-athletes must have earned a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher in the spring semester while competing in a winter or spring Patriot League-sponsored sport.

Sophomore Joey Ptasinski, who was one of five Patriot League men’s basketball players to earn a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team, collected his second Academic Honor Roll nod after posting a 3.6 GPA in Biology. Joining the guard were backcourt mates Jack Detmer and Les Smith, along with forward Dan Trist. Detmer and Smith, both majoring in Government & Law, earned a 3.2 and 3.58, respectively. Trist claimed his first Academic Honor Roll award after a 3.23 in Economics during his sophomore campaign.
