Feb. 19, 2013
The Leopards improved to 13-14 overall and 6-4 in Patriot League play with a 63-62 win over Bucknell. Seth Hinrichs scored 20 points to lead the Leopards offensively, but it was Tony Johnson's pull-up jumper with 4.5 seconds remaining that gave Lafayette the one-point win.
Hinrichs (14.9 ppg) leads the team in scoring and has seven 20-point games this season. Hinrichs has scored in double figures in eight straight, 16 of Lafayette's last 17 games and 23 times overall.
Lafayette defeated Holy Cross 63-53 on Jan. 23 in Easton, Pa. and has won two straight games against the Crusaders.
Against Bucknell, Nathaniel Musters made his second-career start in place of Dan Trist, who has missed the last two games with an ankle injury.
Johnson needs 10 assists to tie Andrew Brown '09 (354 career) for seventh all-time at Lafayette.
Johnson is currently sixth in the Lafayette record books with 150 career steals. He is one shy of Otis Ellis '89, who sits in fifth.
Levi Giese (100 career blocked shots) became the fourth player in program history to reach the century mark in rejections with one against Army.
Johnson ranks second in the conference in shooting (52.3 percent), is first in assist-to turnover ratio (2.2) and leads the League in steals (2.0 spg).
Under Fran O'Hanlon, the Leopards are 118-118 in conference regular-season play and 20-20 against Holy Cross.
