Center Valley, Pa. - The Patriot League announced Thursday that the Lafayette vs. Lehigh men's basketball contest has been selected to air on CBS Sports Network as part of the League's television package. The game, from Kirby Sports Center, is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 24 at Noon.
Lafayette and Lehigh played their first meeting of the season on CBS Sports Network on Jan. 27, with the Leopards dealing the Mountain Hawks their only League loss in a 78-57 final in Bethlehem. Lafayette snapped Lehigh's five-game win streak in the series as five players scored in double figures. Lafayette's Seth Hinrichs (14.7 ppg) and Dan Trist (12.7 ppg) are in the top 10 in the Patriot League in scoring, along with Lehigh's Gabe Knutson (13.6 ppg) and Mackey McKnight (12.5 ppg).
The rest of the Patriot League contests on Feb. 24 include Holy Cross at Bucknell and Navy at Colgate, while the Army at American contest will be played on Feb. 23. Each of those games will be available through Patriot League All-Access.
Five Patriot League men's basketball games have already been shown on CBS Sports Network this season, with five more to come in the regular season including three straight days of televised contests beginning on Saturday. The network will feature the Army at Navy Star Game on Saturday at 2 p.m. EST, then televise Holy Cross at American on Sunday (Noon EST) and Bucknell at Lehigh on Monday (7 p.m. EST). The final flex game of the year will wrap up the regular season coverage on March 2 at Noon EST. The coverage will continue on CBS Sports Network in the Patriot League Tournament with both semifinals on March 9 (2 and 4:30 p.m. EST) and the Patriot League Championship on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. EST.
