EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette athletics is partnering with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for its annual Shave for the Brave event, set to be held this Wednesday during the men’s basketball game against Army.
St. Baldrick’s is encouraging all of Lafayette’s fans to “Rock the Bald” to conquer childhood cancer. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization aside from the U.S. government.
The event will take place at halftime of Lafayette’s contest in the main atrium of Kirby Sports Center. Shaving stations will be set up for all participants, with the opportunity for donations to be made on-site as well.
Get involved and you’ll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Join this event and, whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer or donate, you’ll be a hero for kids with cancer.
