Hinrichs Claims Player of the Week Honors

EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette sophomore guard Seth Hinrichs (Clara City, Minn./Maccray) has been voted as the Patriot League Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Hinrichs averaged 21.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 65 percent from the field and 60 percent from beyond the arc. Lafayette defeated Colgate and lost at American this past week.
Hinrichs’ connected on 13 of his 20 attempts, including nine made threes, and led Lafayette offensively in both games. His game-high 24 points and seven rebounds paced the Leopards in a 29-point blowout victory over Colgate. The Minnesota native followed up that performance with 18 points and eight boards against American. Hinrichs has scored 20 points or more six times this season and has reached double figures in 13 of Lafayette’s last 14 games.
The honor is the eighth career weekly award for Hinrichs, who is currently third in the Patriot League three-point percentage (43.8%) and sixth in scoring (14.7 ppg).
Teammate Bryce Scott finished second in Rookie of the Week voting after averaging 12.5 points on 50 percent shooting (8-of-16), including a perfect 7-of-7 from behind the arc. Scott’s 17 points against AU helped erase Lafayette’s 17-point second-half deficit and was backed by his career-best total of five threes.
