ALLENTOWN, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) -- - Lafayette senior point guard Tim Bieg, a co-captain on this season's men's basketball team, was featured in today's edition of the Allentown Morning Call by columnist Paul Reinhard. Bieg focuses in on what the Leopards need to do this season to turn things around and back to the winning ways he is accustomed to.

Tim Bieg didn't have to think long or hard when someone asked him when he last went through a basketball season in which his team lost 11 games.

"Never," the Lafayette point guard shot back.

It is not a stat that makes Lafayette's 5-11 senior co-captain smile -- and usually, he smiles easily.

Bieg worked his way into the Leopards' starting lineup as a freshman, and for three years, he distributed the basketball to some of the top players in the Patriot League. While winning three straight regular-season titles and the last two postseason tournaments, those players came to know everything about one another.

Coach Fran O'Hanlon's 2000-2001 team has not yet developed that eye-contact recognition. Bieg says it's not too late, knowing all the while that time is fleeting.
