EASTON, Pa. - With a 103-99 overtime win at Navy on Saturday, the Lafayette men's basketball team set a new NCAA single-season mark for overtime road victories. Lafayette has won five overtime games on its visitors' home courts, beating Colgate (69-68 on Jan. 16), Princeton (76-71 on Jan. 9), Towson (79-69 on Dec. 19) and Stony Brook (78-67 on Nov. 12) before Saturday's win in Annapolis, Md.

The five overtime road victories surpassed the record previously shared by Delaware-1972-73, Arizona State-1980-81, Cal State Fullerton-1988-89 and New Mexico State-1993-94.

Lafayette also has one home overtime win (UMBC, 87-84 on Nov. 20) for six overtime wins this season. Those victories tie the NCAA single-season mark held by Wake Forest (1983-84) and Chattanooga (1988-89).

Lafayette has won 10 straight overtime games in a span that began Dec. 13, 2004 vs. Cal State Northridge. The Leopards are one overtime win short of tying the NCAA mark of 11 held by Louisville, Massachusetts and Virginia.

The Leopards are off to a 12-6 start and are undefeated in Patriot League play (3-0) with the last two coming in overtime. Lafayette, which was picked to finish eighth (of eight) in the Patriot League Preseason Poll, hosts the other remaining undefeated Patriot League team, Bucknell (8-9, 3-0), on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Kirby Sports Center.
