Opening Tip:

Lafayette continues its Patriot League schedule by traveling to West Point, N.Y. on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Leopards are looking to win four in a row for the first time since 2009-10 and seven straight against the Black Knights.

The Leopards improved to 8-10 overall with a 64-47 win over Navy. Seth Hinrichs led the way offensively and on the glass, scoring 22 points to go along with nine rebounds.

Tony Johnson’s six assists against Navy moved him into 11th place on the all-time list (301 career), passing Jay Mottola ’72. He needs four assists to move into the top ten in school history.

Johnson moved past Andrew Brown ’09 and into 13th in the Lafayette record book with 131 career steals after securing three against Navy. He leads the Patriot League with 36 thefts this season.

Hinrichs (14.8 ppg) leads the team in scoring, has eight straight double-digit point games and has netted at least 10 points in 11 of Lafayette’s last 12 games.

Hinrichs is tied with Navy’s Brandon Venturini for the League lead with 44 three-pointers this year.

With the win over Navy, Lafayette moved to 7-2 on the season when leading at halftime.

Head coach Fran O’Hanlon is one of only 17 Division I head coaches to direct the same program since the start of the 1995-96 season.

Under O’Hanlon, the Leopards are 113-114 in conference regular-season play and 27-8 against Army.
