Drew Dawson begins his fourth season at Lafayette and his second as the top assistant on Fran O'Hanlon's staff. A 2003 graduate of Lafayette, Dawson was the first of O'Hanlon's former players to join him on the sidelines. The 28-year-old, who is one of the youngest head assistant coaches in the nation at the Division I level, is the recruiting coordinator for the Lafayette program.

Dawson has managed the Lafayette basketball camps the past three summers. During his time at Lafayette, he has been instrumental in involving the men's basketball team in a host of community service projects. He initiated the Hill to The Mill annual charity 3-on-3 tournament which is run by the men's basketball program and raises money to fight Dystonia and diabetes.

Dawson has also orchestrated several junior high school developmental clinics while also beginning an annual coaches clinic in 2005. In 2005, Dawson's article on foundations of player development was published in American Basketball Quarterly.

The Camp Hill, Pa. native was a point guard for the Leopards, playing his final season in 2002-03 before graduating with dual degrees in Economics & Business and English. Dawson then went on to earn his master's degree in Sport Management Administration from East Stroudsburg University where he spent the 2003-04 season as an assistant coach under Jeff Wilson.
