The 28-year-old, who is one of the youngest head assistant coaches in the nation at the Division I level, is the recruiting coordinator for the Lafayette program.

Dawson has managed the Lafayette basketball camps the past three summers. During his time at Lafayette, he has been instrumental in involving the men's basketball team in a host of community service projects. Dawson has also orchestrated several junior high school developmental clinics while also beginning an annual coaches clinic in 2005. In 2005, Dawson's article on foundations of player development was published in American Basketball Quarterly.

The Camp Hill, Pa. native was a point guard for the Leopards, playing his final season in 2002-03 before graduating with dual degrees in Economics & Business and English.
