Athletes C.A.R.E., a non-profit organization started by Lafayette student-athletes, held a Ball4Hunger Basketball Clinic at Kirby Sports Center this past weekend, collecting food/non-perishable items and monetary donations for the Nazareth Area Food Bank.

Lafayette men's basketball senior forward Dan Trist was selected as a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 13 Second Team, the organization announced Friday.

Men's Hoops Ends Season with NCAA Tourney Defeat

The Lafayette men's basketball team ran into a hot-shooting top-seeded Villanova squad in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday evening, ending its 2014-15 season with a 93-52 defeat.

NCAA Tournament Preview: Lafayette vs. Villanova

Lafayette is making its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since the 1999-2000 season after a 65-63 win over American on March 11 at Kirby Sports Center in the Patriot League championship game. That year, Lafayette, a 15 seed, fell to second-seeded Temple in the opening round, 73-47.

Lafayette Draws Villanova in NCAA Tournament

Lafayette was announced as the 16th seed in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's East Region on Sunday night. The Patriot League Champions will take on the top seed in the region, Villanova, on Thursday in Pittsburgh with the time to be determined.

Alan Childs is the first and only professor to serve as academic adviser to the men's basketball team. His 25-year stint eclipses head coach Fran O'Hanlon's tenure by five years. He's proven to be an invaluable member of the program.
