Former Hurler Kevin Reese '08 Selected to ABL All-Star Game

LAVERTON, Australia – Former right-handed pitcher Kevin Reese ’08 has been chosen to play in the Australian Baseball League’s All-Star Game on December 16 at Melbourne Ballpark.
Reese, a member of the Melbourne Aces, is one of 11 players chosen to represent the Aces in their home ballpark and will play on the World All-Stars team. The World All-Stars squad features players from the United States, Korea and Japan and will take on the Australian All-Stars. He has a 0-2 record in four starts, posting a 3.44 earned run average in 18.1 innings of work for Melbourne.
Reese ranks among the Leopards' all-time leaders with 15 wins, 222.1 innings pitched and 157 strikeouts in his four seasons on College Hill before joining the professional ranks. He has previously taken the mound for the Washington (Pa.) Wild Things and Traverse City (Mich.) Beach Bums, both of the Frontier League, and was named a Frontier League All-Star in 2010 en route to 10 wins and a playoff appearance with Traverse City. Reese has also pitched in the Atlantic League for the Somerset (N.J.) Patriots and most recently the Camden Riversharks.
He is one of two former Leopards currently playing professional baseball, the other being Ian Dickson. Dickson recently completed his first professional season with the Boise Hawks, the Class-A short season affiliate of the Chicago Cubs and was a 35th round pick in the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
