Spotted on Campus With...Adam McMahon
Nov. 10, 2009 Each week, the staff at GoLeopards.com spotlights a student-athlete in a Q&A feature. This week, we caught up with junior baseball player Adam McMahon, who filled us in on baseball, music, food and more. What's your major and what do you like about your major? Economics and Business. I like how it is relevant to what is happening to our nation. What is your earliest baseball memory? Playing catch with my dad out in the front yard. Do you model yourself after any particular athlete? When I was younger I wanted to be like Mike. What can you take from your sport and incorporate into everyday life? Discipline in doing work and taking a competitive edge in whatever I do. Also being able to deal with life's curveballs. What do you still wish to accomplish? Win the Patriot League Championship The sport I'm worst at is: Swimming...I'm not that good at water sports. Sport you would play other than your own? Basketball. My grandfather, Leon Miller, played basketball at Lafayette during the 1950's. Something about me that others would be surprised to hear is: People don't know that I am a music minor and take drum lessons here at school. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Italy Three things I can't live without: Family, friends, and food Favorite thing about the fall? Coming back to Lafayette and reuniting with team again. Favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner? Seconds...Thanksgiving is the best holiday. What are you most thankful for? I am most thankful for my family and friends, and the opportunities and I am presented with. Favorite TV show as a kid? Power Rangers. I loved the Megazord. Favorite midnight snack? Pizza box of nachos from Gilberts Campus Pizza or Pizza Doro? Depends on whether I want pizza, or all you can eat pasta TV show I can't stop watching: Seinfeld, great show.
