Baseball Continues Annual Scout Day Event

Sept. 21, 2017

EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette baseball team continued its yearly Scout Day this past Tuesday, Sept. 20, as the program hosted 15 scouts from across Major League Baseball at Kamine Stadium.

The intrasquad scrimmage takes place each fall and serves as an opportunity for student-athletes to showcase their talents in front of professional scouts in the hopes of improving their draft stock or being signed in the spring. Recently, the Leopards have sent David Bednar ’16 and Alex Farina ’15 into the pro ranks.

The Maroon and White’s fall-ball season will see them play two games in conjunction with intrasquad scrimmages. The first scheduled game will be a home contest against Moravian on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. The second contest will be an away matchup with St. Joseph’s at 11 a.m. on Oct. 14.
