EASTON, Pa. - Andrew Ruck's 4.0 GPA leads a roster of 14 student-athletes from the Lafayette baseball team that have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must have earned a 3.20 grade-point average for the spring 2012 semester.

Ruck, a rising senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering, was one of just two Patriot League baseball student-athletes to merit a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.

Four recent graduates capped their careers as members of the Academic Honor Roll. Brian Davila '12, who recently received a degree in Economics & Business, posted a 3.57 grade-point average this spring to complete a four-year sweep of Academic Honor Roll nods. Mechanical Engineering graduate Chris Boyce '12 adds an Academic Honor Roll selection to his spot on the Academic All-Patriot League team with a 3.83 GPA. Ethan Perro '12 (Government & Law, 3.33 GPA) and Jeff Snell '12 (International Affairs/Spanish, 3.33) joined their classmates on the Honor Roll.

Alongside Ruck's 4.0 GPA were fellow rising seniors Kevin Casey (Economics, 3.20 GPA), Michael Massa (Economics, 3.43) and Alex Osuchowski (Civil Engineering, 3.43). Rising juniors Jonathan Ho (Chemistry, 3.88), Ben Meer (Government & Law, 3.68) and Connor Ortolf (Economics, 3.43) and rising sophomores Tim Lazor (Mathematics, 3.68), Toby Schwartz (Philosophy, 3.50) and Cory Spera (Biology, 3.39) round out the list of honored Leopards.

Lafayette's 14 Academic Honor Roll selections account for the second-highest total among Patriot League baseball teams. Bucknell led the way with 21, followed by the Leopards' 14 honorees. Lehigh (10), Holy Cross (8), Army (7) and Navy (6) complete the roster at 65 student-athletes.
